STILL GOT QUESTIONS?
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this “real” medical care?
Yes. Vindara Health is a professional medical entity. Our clinicians are board-certified and licensed in the states where we operate. We provide diagnosis, lab management, specialist-guided treatment protocols, and prescription services. We are not a wellness or coaching program.
How much does it cost?
$400/month. This covers your dedicated clinician, monthly consultations, care coordination, treatment planning, prescription management, and unlimited messaging with your care team. Labs, scans, and medications are billed separately -- directly to your insurance or to you, depending on your coverage. We provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement, and many patients receive partial coverage from their insurer. We know this price is out of reach for many in our community. We're working hard to reduce costs and increase access -- including lower-cost tiers and insurance pathways. We'll keep you updated as this progresses.
Do you take insurance?
Not yet. Vindara Health is currently self-pay, but we can provide superbills you can submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement (many patients receive partial reimbursement, depending on their plan). High-touch, complex care is hard to deliver well under current insurance models—but we’re actively working toward insurance options over time.
Do I see Dr. Kaufman directly?
Your care is delivered by your dedicated Lead Provider using protocols designed and supervised by Dr. Kaufman. Dr. Kaufman serves as our Chief Medical Officer; he trains our team, sets the clinical strategy for every patient, and provides direct consultation for complex case escalations. This model allows us to scale his expertise while ensuring you have a consistent point of contact who knows your daily history.
What if I already have a Primary Care Physician or a Cardiologist?
We recommend that all patients have a primary care provider (PCP), and in many cases it’s required. Vindara Health doesn’t replace your PCP for day-to-day health needs, preventive care, urgent issues, or emergencies. We work alongside your local care team as a specialist clinical hub—focused on complex, multi-system illness—and we may prescribe and manage the specialized medications your PCP may not be familiar with. We’ll also ask you to share your PCP details and relevant records so we can coordinate safely.
Can I bring my own research or treatments I want to try?
We offer ongoing support, either through our monthly plan or as-needed add-ons. You won’t be left hanging.
How do the “45 minutes” work?
We know that for many patients, a 45-minute video call is physically taxing. You can use your monthly time as a single deep-dive session, or break it into three 15-minute “check-ins”. We prioritize your energy envelope.
